Congress Deputy Chief Whip in Himachal Assembly and Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania said this in a statement issued to the media from Shahpur in Kangra today. He said on the occasion of Diwali, the CM Sukhu government paid the salary and pension due for the month of October to all the employees and pensioners on October 28.

Along with this, the government has been working to fully pay the outstanding arrears of pensioners aged 75 and over. A budgetary provision of Rs 10 crore has been made for medical reimbursement to pensioners and the government has issued instructions to all departments to clear all their pending medical reimbursement bills. He said that the state government has announced to give 4% rate of dearness allowance to employees and pensioners from January 1, 2023, which would benefit 1.80 lakh employees and 1.70 lakh pensioners of the state.

He said that as soon as the government came to power, it secured the future of 1.36 million employees by implementing the old pension scheme and providing them with social security. He said that the state government was committed to give priority to the welfare of employees and pensioners and ensure adequate assistance to them. The state government will also fulfill other obligations and legitimate demands of employees and pensioners in time, he said.

Pathania said that along with this, introducing transparent governance, the government, as soon as it came to power, dissolved the erstwhile Hamirpur Staff Selection Commission, which had become a pit of corruption, and took action against the accused who were playing with his future. young people. After that, a new State Personnel Selection Commission was formed to ensure the future of the youth of the state. In no time, the government declared the results which were pending for years and provided jobs to the youth of the state. Apart from providing jobs to the deserving youth of the state, transparent governance is the priority of the Sukhu government, he said.
