What is Metro Boomin being sued for?

Metro Boomin was sued for assault and sexual assault in Los Angeles court by a woman who says he raped her in 2016. Conformable PanelVanessa LeMaistre, the plaintiff, says she visited the Metro studio in September, where she took an injection of alcohol and a Xanax pill and passed out; after which, the producer would have taken advantage of it. After the incident, she says she found out she was pregnant, having an abortion in November of that year.

She also claims that the incident was mentioned on Metro’s 2017 collaborative album No Warning featuring 21 Savage and Offset on “Rap Saved Me.” On the track’s chorus, the two rappers recite the lines: “Took a Xanny, then passed out / I’m from the gutter, ain’t change / From the gutter, rap saved me / Driven me crazy, got my baby.” Although Metro doesn’t rap on the song and the authorship of those lines is unclear, LeMaistre says hearing the raps “caused even more trauma.”

Metro denied the allegations through its attorney, Lawrence Hinkle II, who said Panel“These are false allegations. Mr. Wayne refused to pay it months ago, and he refuses to pay it now. Mr. Wayne will defend himself in court. He will file a malicious prosecution claim once he wins.”

The manufacturer was embroiled in a minor controversy earlier this year after social media users questionable tweets resurfaced from his account during its performance quarrel with Drake.
