An illegal immigrant who failed to show up for his immigration hearing after being released at the border has been arrested for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl on Long Island, police said.

Wilson Castillo Diaz, 26, is accused of assaulting the little girl on Oct. 16, according to Nassau County police.

Details about the alleged rape — including Diaz’s relationship with the girl and where it took place — were not immediately available.

The child was taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation after the alleged attack, police said.

Diaz, who lived in Westbury, crossed into the U.S. illegally near Rio Grande, Texas, in April 2014, according to police.

He was taken into custody by US border agents but later released after being served a notice to appear before an immigration judge.

Diaz then failed to show up for his immigration court hearing, according to police.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has already been notified of his recent arrest, police said, without saying which country the suspect is from.

Diaz was arraigned last Wednesday on a number of charges, including rape, attempted rape and endangering the welfare of a child.

He was being held on a $200,000 cash bond.
