Who are the Collier County Teachers of Distinction for 2024-2025?

The Collier County Education Foundation—Champions For Learning recently announced the 2024-2025 Collier County Teachers of distinction.

As a starting point for The Golden Apple Program, Champions For Learning invites each public school in Collier County to nominate an outstanding educator and their high-impact practice.

And this year, 54 educators from 53 Collier Public Schools were selected as Distinguished Teachers, who stand out among their peers.

Distinguished Teachers are part of the Golden Apple process

The 54, as in years past, stood out for their ingenuity, which “allows them to create and establish high-impact practices that lead to definable and demonstrable student success in classrooms,” the Education Foundation said of Collier County – Champions for Learning in a press release.

The Champions For Learning volunteer selection committee will meet and visit the classrooms of all Distinguished Teachers to learn about their high-impact practices. And “after careful consideration, the committee will identify the educators who will become this year’s Golden Apple recipients,” the press release said.

The educators, along with all Distinguished Teachers, will be honored at the Golden Apple Celebration event on Saturday, April 26 at the Naples United Church of Christ.

This event is free and open to the community to attend in support of our outstanding educators and the teaching profession. For more information about the event, including sponsorship opportunities, contact Wyatt Blatt at [email protected].
