Over the past 40 years, Transformers the brand has been a major part of the lives of millions of people around the world, whether it’s the hugely successful toy line from Hasbro and Takara Tomy or the nearly dozen movies that have hit the big screen with multiple features planned for 2025 film schedule and further, the franchise has made a ton of money at the box officeand while it probably led to some of the worst movies based on toys ever made, the transformer movie they were a lot of fun for the most part.

If you ever wanted to go back and re-watch all the various Movies with Michael Bay and their prequels, as well as those wonderful animated films, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s break it down Transformers movies in order, both chronologically and by release date.

You can see them all Transformers films in order of release date at the bottom of this article, but for now we’ll focus on the live-action film series and how to watch those seven films chronologically. With Michael Bay movies and the two prequels directed by Travis Knight and Steven Caple Jr. respectively, this series takes you through decades of struggle between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

Bumblebee (2018)

Although one of the most recently released films in the franchise, 2018 bumble-bee takes place in San Francisco in 1987, two decades before the events of Transformers. In this box office hitCharlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld) finds and befriends B-127, aka Bumblebee (voiced by Dylan O’Brien), after the friendly Autobot lands on Earth and transforms into a yellow Volkswagen Beetle.
