Harmony man faces additional charges in fatal shooting at Lawrence County – Butler Eagle bar

State police have filed additional charges against a Harmony man accused of killing one woman and injuring four others when he opened fire at a Lawrence County bar in September.

On Tuesday, Oct. 29, police added five counts of attempted murder and endangering another person to the eight counts of both charges and the manslaughter charge filed in September against Nathan J. Fink, Sr. for 40 years. Center without connection. His preliminary hearing on the additional charges is scheduled for Nov. 12 before District Judge Jerry Cartwright in Ellwood City.

Fink was charged with killing one woman and injuring others when he fired a gun into a bar, vehicles, homes and businesses.

Fink got into an argument with patrons at Breakers Pub on Portersville Road in Ellport just before 2 a.m. and left after being escorted out of the bar, but returned minutes later with a gun, according to an affidavit.

In the parking lot, Fink fired a rifle and a handgun outside the building, and gunfire struck vehicles and went through the door, hitting people inside, police said.

Fink then drove west on Portersville Road and fired a gun into several homes and businesses before fleeing, traveling east, police said.

Police said Fink was identified as the shooter and was arrested at his home on Barkley Road in Perry Township, Lawrence County.

Crystal Wawryznski, 37, of Ellwood City, was shot while sitting at the bar and pronounced dead at the scene, and her husband, Jonathan, 39, suffered a gunshot wound not life-threatening, police said.

Joshua Lyons, 41, of Ellwood City, was struck by gunfire and taken to a Pittsburgh hospital with a serious injury; Edward Martin, 35, of Beaver Falls, suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound; and David Huzenic, 64, of Ellwood City, was shot while in his apartment, police said.
