South Lincoln home riddled with bullets overnight, police said

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln police are investigating a drive-by shooting.

It happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday in the area of ​​40th and Old Cheney.

When officers arrived, they said they found multiple bullets had struck a home. In all, officers identified nine bullet holes, causing damage to the front door, an exterior wall, a wall in the living room and two separate walls from the bedroom, according to LPD.

Lincoln Police say a fired bullet was found inside and an unexpended round was found outside. Damage is estimated at approximately $400.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
