HILLVIEW, Ky. (WAVE) – The Hillview Police Department launched a homicide investigation on Oct. 31 after a body was found with gunshot wounds near an intersection in Hillview.

Police said it was early Thursday when the body of an 18-year-old man was found near the intersection of Hillview Boulevard and Norwood Way. Detectives said they believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

Hillview detectives are working to collect evidence and identify potential witnesses. They are asking anyone with information to come forward and help with the investigation.

This is an ongoing investigation.
