A man was found dead near the marina bay in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services were called to the Mackenzie Crescent area of ​​Peterhead following reports of the sudden death of a 76-year-old man.

Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

Next of kin have been notified of the death.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 9.40am on Thursday 31 October 2024, police received a report of the sudden death of a 76-year-old man in the Mackenzie Crescent area of ​​Peterhead.

“There are no suspicious circumstances and the next of kin are aware.”
