Firefighters are tackling the blaze at the Limerick bar and restaurant

FIREFIGHTERS spent more than three hours late last night at the scene of a fire in Pallasgreen.

Limerick Fire and Rescue Service received a report of a fire at Pallas Bar and Bistro in the village at 9.43pm. Two appliances from Cappamore, supported by one from Tipperary Town, attended the scene.

Fire personnel did not return to base until after 1 am.

There are no reports of injuries. The extent of the damage to the premises is not yet known.

Cllr Martin Ryan said he was “very disappointed to hear that a well-respected and popular local business is being affected in this way”.

The Garda also attended the incident.

A spokesman said gardai were alerted to a fire incident in the Pallasgreen, County Limerick area at approximately 10pm on Wednesday 30 October.

No breaches have been disclosed at this time,” a garda spokesman said.
