This transformation is marked by an increasing demand for new roles, skills and innovative technologies that are fundamentally reshaping job requirements.

With generative AI leading the way, 70% of global business leaders have identified AI adoption as a top priority for 2025. Ruchee Anand, Head of Talent Solutions at LinkedIn India highlighted this trend: “As we look at 2025, businesses are increasingly prioritizing AI adoption alongside significant investment in upskilling and reskilling their staff. Adopting AI isn’t just about keeping up, it’s about empowering teams, encouraging innovation and creating resilient workforces.

In India, HR professionals are very much aware of the changing landscape; nearly 69 percent report that workplace expectations have reached an all-time high. About six in ten believe that experience alone is no longer enough to remain competitive, with more than half saying that career advancement now relies heavily on AI proficiency.

Technological advancement has been central to companies during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has further accelerated technological progress, leading to the need for new roles emerging today. These innovations have not only improved the quality of life, but also the quality of jobs, making AI redundant.
