BRANDON, Vt. (WCAX) – A Brandon man is facing assault and robbery charges after police say he robbed a gas station at knifepoint Sunday night.

It happened around 7:45 pm at the Green Mountain Market gas station on McConnell Road. Brandon Police say 34-year-old Joey Sherwood made off with a large amount of cash. No one was injured.

Police tracked Sherwood to a home on Brookdale Street in Brandon Wednesday afternoon and arrested him at gunpoint.
