The stabbing victim was flown to an out-of-state hospital

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) – A Caruthersville man was airlifted to an out-of-state hospital after he was stabbed Tuesday night, October 29th.

Officers were called shortly after 5 p.m. to a verbal disturbance at an apartment on East Seventh Street in Caruthersville.

While on their way to the apartment, officers learned that someone had been stabbed and an ambulance was on its way.

When officers arrived, they reported finding a 39-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.

According to Caruthersville police, the victim told officers he was stabbed by a 39-year-old Kennett woman.

Police said the victim was later airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn., for treatment.

His condition is unknown at this time.

The suspect was taken to the police station for questioning and arrest.

She was booked into the Pemiscot County Justice Center pending formal charges of first-degree domestic assault, aggravated battery and armed criminal action.
