Pellet weapon attacks in Gainsborough pose a significant risk

Police are investigating a series of BB or pellet gun attacks on homes in Gainsborough.

Officers are appealing for help to find the culprits after eight separate reports of shots being fired at windows.

The incidents happened in the Park Springs Road and Riseholme Road areas between October 17 and 28.

Inspector Mike Head warned: “There is a significant risk of someone being very seriously injured.”

He added: “We have made it a priority for local teams to investigate and find those responsible.

“There’s a lot of work going on in the background, including following up on police information and looking at CCTV and other footage, and we’re also carrying out patrols in the area.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police.
