King Charles, Queen Camilla on ‘secret’ visit to India; here’s what they did: Report

King Charles III has been quietly visiting Bengaluru since October 27, accompanied by his wife Camilla, according to The Indian Express. This is the King’s first visit to the city as a monarch, although he has visited before Bengaluru several times as Prince of Wales, gaining a special connection with what is often called the Garden City of India.

The royal couple chose the renowned Soukya International Holistic Health Center (SIHHC) in Whitefield for this visit, seeking wellness treatments and a break from their busy schedules. Their arrival was kept low-key with no official state reception at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) airport.

Beyond its scheduled operations, the airport supports general aviation, corporate flights and exclusive VIP travel. There were no official traffic restrictions for their journey to the health center.

During their stay, King Charles and Queen Camilla engaged in morning yoga sessions and various welfare therapies designed for relaxation and rejuvenation, the publication reported citing sources.

They also enjoy meditation sessions and take part in meals prepared at the property. Long walks through the quiet surroundings of the center also became part of their routine, allowing them to relax in nature.

Charles at SIHHC

This visit is significant for King Charles III, who has valued links with SIHHC over the years. In fact, he celebrated his 71st birthday at this wellness center with a private celebration, underscoring his attachment to the place,

Charles has reportedly visited SIHHC nine times previously. At each visit, a dedicated team attends to his specific health needs.

SIHHC, founded by Dr. Issac Mathai and Dr. Suja Issac in Samethanahalli, Whitefield, is well known for its holistic health services. It offers a wide range of treatments, including AyurvedaNaturopathy, Acupressure, Yoga and Homeopathy among other traditional practices.

The royal couple’s stay will end on October 30, when they depart after this unique wellness-focused visit to Bengaluru, deepening their ties to India and the holistic practices offered by SIHC.
