51% View Harris Unfavorably – Rasmussen Reports®

More than three months after being nominated to be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris remains “underwater” in her approval ratings.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone and online poll shows that 47 percent of likely U.S. voters view Harris favorably, including 33 percent who have a very favorable impression of her. But a majority (51%) view Harris unfavorably, including 44% with a very unfavorable opinion. (To see the wording of the survey question, click here.)

President Joe Biden named Harris his successor on July 21the same day he announced he would end his re-election campaign.

The survey of 2,956 likely US voters was conducted on October 17 and 20-21, 2024 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% confidence level. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports polls is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.
