Tropical threat looms in the Caribbean

The The next Atlantic basin tropical threat continues to be watched by the National Hurricane Center and has a medium chance of developing into a tropical depression until the end of the week.

The FOX Forecast Center believes those odds could rise further in the final month of 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season approaches.

Severe weather threatens Halloween plans for millions across the central US

A severe weather for several daysR the threat begins this week heading into Halloweenbringing with it the potential to produce damaging winds, hail and severe STORM for Central US

A cold front will push into the central and southern Plains this week, with warmer temperatures expected along the front, creating the potential for severe weather. The greatest potential for extreme weather is scheduled to unfold Wednesday before the front moves into NORTH EAST until Halloween night.

Wildfire burns more than 12,000 acres inside Oklahoma wildlife refuge

Meteorologists with the office of the National Meteorological Service in NormanOklahoma, warned of danger fire weather conditionsincluding the area around the Rush Fire, which burned over 12,000 acres in the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge.

The entire area, which is about an hour and a half south of Oklahoma Citywas closed to the public Saturday to allow fire crews and other first responders to work to contain and extinguish the fire.

Watch: US Coast Guard rescues father and sons clinging to capsized boat in Hawaii

A man and his two children were rescued from the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii on the weekend. The the rescue took place on Saturday after the man made a call in May saying his boat capsized.

The Honolulu sector of US Coast Guard (USCG) heard the call and sent helicopter crews and planes to search the area. Almost five hours later, the helicopter crew found the overturned boat, with the man and his two sons clinging to the hull. They were not wearing life jackets, the Coast Guard said.
