Trump’s claims shared by Joe Rogan were shot down by The View host Whoopi Goldberg

Throughout 2024 US Presidential Racethe hosts of view were found in a war of words with the Republican nomineesomething that frustrated Trump supporter Rogan.

This led the commentator and the host of the Spotify podcast The Joe Rogan Experience to claim they hypocritically gave Trump a warm welcome when he appeared on the US show in 2015.

However, Goldberg tore apart Rogan’s claims, which she called “fake news,” pointing out that he clearly hadn’t done his homework.

First, Rogan got the year wrong, with Goldberg stating, “It was 2011 — four years before he announced he was running. That’s the first thing they got wrong.”

Goldberg then clarified when Rogan said Trump was introduced as “our friend.” Turns out it was Barbara Walters, the former host of the viewwho introduced him as such, Goldberg remaining emotionless as he used these words.

Goldberg said, “So Barbara was her usual polite self, as she was with every guest. But did I look warm and fuzzy? Was it a warm and fuzzy welcome for him?” But because I respect Barbara, she said to be polite to guests no matter what. And for the most part I got through it, I did it, like I’m doing now.”

A discrepancy was also highlighted in Rogan’s claim that Trump was being talked about “in such a favorable light,” with Goldberg telling him, “Honey, Joe. I think you missed that part.”

She then showed a clip of Goldberg questioning Trump’s demands that Barack Obama release his passport records after a conspiracy theory falsely claimed he was ineligible to run for president because he was not natural born American citizen.

Goldberg told Trump back in 2011, “I think this is the biggest pile of dog shit I’ve heard in a long time. Not because he’s black? Because I’ve never heard of a white president being asked to produce a birth certificate? That’s BS”

The host concluded: “This show has allowed all kinds of people to come in, people we agree with, people we don’t agree with. I was not a fan (of Trump). I don’t like how he talks to us, I don’t like how he talks to the nation. I didn’t have much to say until he started running for president. (But) then (in 2011)…my face said everything I needed to say.

“To make fun of him is to take it down now, because it’s too easy,” Goldberg added.

“Our focus is on making sure we get the right person in the right job to get the country out of the malaise we’re all in. Everyone is angry all the time. People walk down the street and you can see it. … We have been traumatized for years. And I hope that with the next election we will have a breather and get back to people’s business. That’s what I want.”
