ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Year Ann Arbor The youth football and cheerleading program lost thousands of dollars in equipment after thieves stole their trailer.

The Huron High School trailer has construction written on the side. But when the crooks opened the back door, it’s clear that everything inside was meant for a competitive sports league.

So the question to be answered is what can be done to ensure the continued competitiveness of children.

Washtenaw Maize Jr. football and cheer compete for victories on the field. However, the steal was a loss that I’m taking right now and hope it turns into a win.

Adriya Perry opened a storage closet on Monday (October 28) afternoon.

“I’m just looking to see what we have because I know the biggest thing is we have playoffs on Saturday and we’re hosting,” Perry said.

Perry was looking for items to help the Washtenaw Maize Jr. Football and Cheerleading Team compete this weekend.

“We prepare them as athletes on and off the field,” Perry said.

Corn football is a family that teaches discipline, hard work, teamwork and now a life lesson about right and wrong.

Perry was at the storage facility because of the program’s green equipment trailer.

The trailer is not where it should be. Someone hooked him up and went with him over the weekend where he is being held at Huron High School in Ann Arbor

“We had cheerleading mats, uniforms, football helmets and shoulder pads,” Perry said.

The stolen trailer is green with the “Unique Construction” logo and its number 866 on the side.

Maize knows how to play and cheer in adversity, but even the mask repair kit is gone.

In that trailer are extra football pants or extra cheer gear, and the person opening the trailer knows exactly that they are stealing from the kids.
