Stefon Diggs could miss his first game of the season after suffering a non-contact knee injury Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday that “it’s pretty safe to say” that the Houston Texans wide receiver is not expected to play against the New York Jets on Thursday.

Rapoport also reported that Diggs was listed as DNP for Monday’s estimated practice report and that head coach DeMeco Ryans said the Texans “need to do more testing and continue to evaluate his knee.”

Diggs tweaked his knee while running a route in Sunday’s win over Houston and left the game after making five catches for 81 yards.

“Too bad to see Stef go down there. He’s being evaluated for a knee,” head coach Ryans said after the game, according to ESPN. DJ Bien-Aime. “We will learn more as the week goes on.”

In his debut season with the Texans, Diggs has 496 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 47 receptions.

If Houston goes without their star for an extended period of time, it would only add to the Texans’ injury problems. Houston placed star receiver Nico Collins on injured reserve in early October due to a hamstring injury and is understood to be back by Week 10.

Before the injury, Collins led the league in receiving yards with 567, along with three touchdowns on 32 receptions.

With Diggs and Collins likely out for Thursday’s game, the Texans will need a big game from Tank Dell, their third receiver. Dell, who had an outstanding rookie year that was cut short by injury, has 229 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, solid numbers considering Houston’s loaded wide receiver room.

While Dell hasn’t quite had the season he hoped for, he should have plenty of goals on Thursday and a chance to build momentum in the second half of the season.
