Here’s why smoke, emergency vehicles will be visible at the Nashville airport this week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Tennesseans may see smoke and additional emergency vehicles at Nashville International Airport (BNA) this week.

Don’t worry, the BNA says routine emergency training exercises are scheduled from October 29 to November 1.

The Department of Public Safety will conduct routine training exercises at the BNA. The drills will take place during the day and involve controlled fires and smoke that may be visible to the public – along with the emergency vehicle and first responders training on the scene.

“Please note that these exercises are not related to a real emergency. They are essential to ensure our ability to respond effectively to potential incidents,” BNA said.
