AKRON — The Tippecanoe Valley School Board has taken the first step in approving its annual contract with the Tippecanoe Valley Teachers Association.

At a special meeting Monday, Oct. 28, in the Tippecanoe Valley Corp. School Board office, the board held a public hearing for the contract. No one in the audience talked about it.

The agreement calls for teachers with bachelor’s degrees to have raises ranging from $400 to $1,200. Those with master’s degrees will see raises between $800 and $2,400.

The general salary range is $44,175 to $80,650. Insurance costs for teachers will increase by 1%.

The TVSC Board will vote on the contract at a future meeting.
