20-year-old pleads guilty after high-speed chase results in train wreck

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A 20-year-old man has pleaded guilty after being found with a machine gun following a high-speed chase.

Johnny Ragsdale, 20, of Jackson, pleaded guilty Thursday to unlawful possession of a machine gun, according to court records.

Ragsdale was found in possession of an illegal machine gun after an attempted traffic stop on a vehicle in Jackson.

The 20-year-old failed to yield to law enforcement and led Capitol Police on a high-speed chase.

The pursuit ended after Ragsdale collided with a train car on Mill Street.

A Glock handgun was recovered from the vehicle and a machine gun conversion device, also known as a switch, was attached to the handgun.
