Former ICE acting director says mass deportation possible without family separation if ‘deported together’

Mass deportations could be carried out without separating families if families are deported together, Fox News contributor Tom Homan he said during an interview on CBS’ “60 Minutes.”

Homan served as acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during a stint in former President Donald Trump’s administration.

Trump, who is currently aiming to win the 2024 presidential election so he can return to the White House next year, said he would “largest mass deportation in” US history.

Journalist Cecilia Vega asked Homan if it was possible to carry out mass deportations without separating families.

“Families can be deported together,” Homan replied.

When Vega asked why an American child should move to another country, Homan pointed out that the parent entered illegally USA and had a child while in the country illegally and that the parent “created that crisis.”

Homan dismissed the idea that talk of mass deportation is racist or threatening to immigrants, but said it “should be a threat to the illegal immigrant community.”

He suggested mass deportation was necessary in the wake of the “historic illegal immigration crisis.”
