In a tragic incident, an explosion took place under mysterious circumstances on a passenger train traveling from Rohtak to Delhi, leading to a fire in one of the coaches of the train. According to reports, the incident took place on Monday and the explosion left four passengers seriously injured. They were immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention. Both the Railway Police and the local police reached the spot following the incident, inspecting the spot along with a forensic team from Delhi to collect crucial evidence.

Explosion near Sampla station

The blast took place shortly after the train left Rohtak railway station at around 4.20 pm when it was approaching Sampla railway station. The sudden explosion in a carriage led to a chaotic scene and the train was immediately stopped while the train operator informed the station master. Local police from Sampla and Railway Protection Force (RPF) officers from Rohtak rushed to assist and took the injured to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the explosion

Preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion may have been the result of a passenger carrying a large quantity of sulfur and potassium in a plastic bag, which accidentally ignited and caused a fire inside the coach. Video footage from the scene shows smoke filling the coach and seats engulfed in flames. Meanwhile, Delhi’s bomb disposal squads were also notified and the train was stopped for some time as the authorities carried out inspections before finally allowing it to proceed to Delhi. Police are closely investigating the incident to establish further details.
