Aleksandr Gusev, the governor of Russia’s Voronezh region, reported a drone strike on the evening of October 27, claiming that Russian air defenses had intercepted or jammed about 10 UAVs. However, there was damage to two industrial units.

Details: Gusev initially reported that the drones damaged “an annex of a utility building at an industrial facility,” prompting emergency services to arrive on the scene.

He later added that another unit also suffered damage. “A drone has crashed, causing a fire in one of the premises. Emergency services are on the scene,” he said.

The governor did not specify which facilities were affected, but online sources mention an alcohol plant that may have produced rocket fuel.

Gusev said that so far, about 10 UAVs have been intercepted or jammed by Russian air defense and electronic warfare systems in Voronezh, but the threat remains active.
