Children’s Imaginarium is hosting a science-based Halloween event for kids

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – Wausau’s Children’s Imaginary gave children the opportunity to dress up in their favorite costumes and engage in science-based learning.

The theme of the event was weird science. It’s centered around stem activities for kids to enjoy, keeping that spooky Halloween theme.

“In our STEM lab here, we have dry ice, which refers to CO2. In another lab, we have a healthy science snack,” said Julie Bollmann, executive director for the Children’s Imaginarium.

First impressions Pediatric Dentistry sponsored the event. One organizer said it was important for them to give back to their community.

“We think it was a great success. We love seeing all the kids come in all their different costumes. The kids have so much fun. We are really happy. We’re excited to make this a thing that happens year after year,” said Rylee Denhel, dentist at First Impressions Pediatric Dentistry.

This is the first time the Children’s Imaginarium is hosting a science-based Halloween event for children. The Children’s Imaginarium has only been open for about 10 months in Wausau. Bollmann said she hopes events like this open the door for more events for kids.
