Saskatchewan election: NDP hosts final rally before election day

On the eve of Saskatchewan’s provincial election, NDP Leader Carla Beck and her party hosted a final rally in Regina, thanking supporters and sharing a positive outlook ahead of Monday’s return to the polls.

“We know we have to get every vote tomorrow but we are incredibly encouraged. The people of Saskatchewan are looking for change, and tomorrow we intend to make that change happen,” noted Beck.

A significant number of NDP candidates were in attendance, along with their families and supporters.

After addressing the crowd, Beck said she sees the high voter turnout during voting week as a promising sign.

“People in this election know they can change a government. They can vote for the change, the positive plan that I have proposed,” explained Beck. “I think people have really responded to it.”

Beck went on to say that her candidates will look to use the last 24 hours and keep knocking on the door until the last possible moments.

Regardless of the outcome, Beck expressed his admiration for his team of candidates and volunteers this election season.

“We’ve built a plan that we’re incredibly proud of,” she said. “I know I have a team not just the MPs, but our entire team of volunteers and staff in this province who give it to them. all saying honest things, proposing a plan to not only point out where the problems are, but also how we would go about it on day one.”
