Drake Maye’s good day came to a screeching halt due to a concussion

FOXBOROUGH — Here’s how the Patriots’ starters fared in Sunday’s 25-22 win over the Jets at Gillette Stadium.

QB Drake Maye — The third overall pick got off to a good start when he suffered a head injury in the first half and was relieved by Jacoby Brissett. Maye was 3-for-6 for 23 yards and also had three carries for 46 yards, including a 17-yard run for the first rushing touchdown of his NFL career.

WR Ja’Lynn Polk — Idle. The Washington product suffered a concussion last week against the Jaguars.

OL Layden Robinson — Idle. The guard has been on the injury report all week with an ankle problem.

WR Javon Baker — Active. He worked as a kick returner.

DB Marcellas Dial Jr. — Dial joined Brenden Schooler as primary gunners in deck coverage.

QB Joe Milton III – Served as an emergency third quarterback.

TE Jaheim Bell — Active. He did not record any statistics.

LB Curtis Jacobs — Active. He did not record any statistics.

DB Dell Pettus — Active. With Kyle Dugger on the shelf with an ankle injury, Pettus added depth in the backfield and was in four tackles. He also had a special approach to teams while working as a protector.
