TONIGHT: Watch for clouds becoming a little more widespread overnight with southeast winds 10-15 mph. Temperatures will drop into the low 50s by the end of the night.

Tomorrow: Look for a much warmer afternoon as strong southerly winds of 10-18 mph with gusts up to 30 mph help Missouri warm up to 80 degrees. South winds will become stronger in the evening, with gusts as high as 18-20 mph, with gusts as high as 30-35 mph.

EXTENSIVE: Watch for strong southerly winds continuing both Tuesday and Wednesday at 15-20 mph with gusts of 30-40 mph. This, combined with the drought, will lead to an increased risk of rapid fire spread during this period and will also help keep afternoon temperatures in the 80s. Relief arrives Wednesday night as a cold front moves through central Missouri and brings widespread precipitation. By Thursday morning, precipitation totals will be about 1″ for most of the forecast area, and temperatures will only warm to 60 degrees by Thursday afternoon.
