WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The last Sunday in October will feature sun and a few clouds, some air and moderate seasonality. A first alert Monday and Tuesday for high fire danger, along with possible record highs. The next weatherman heads our way midweek, with rain expected Wednesday afternoon through Halloween morning. Chillier on Halloween, which means you’ll want to have a few layers to keep you warm during Thursday night.

The next weather factor will be a cold front heading our way on Wednesday. Wednesday will still be mild with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Get your umbrella ready for Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening as a cold front slowly moves east across the region. The wet weather could persist through at least Halloween morning with much cooler conditions. Temps will be in the 40s for much of Thursday, including the early evening hours before sunset as many kids do some trick-or-treating. An early warning to have a few layers to stay warm on Halloween night.
