Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers drops a new commercial for Kamala Harris

Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers narrates a new TV commercial for Vice President Kamala Harris, which will star during sporting events in Wisconsin, the campaign announced Sunday.

“In this town, we’ve seen our share of hard times, we’ve heard our share of great promises,” said Rivers, who is not seen in adhe says in a voiceover. “But empty promises don’t build cities. We do it – with sand, sweat and cold beer.”

The announcement refers to the Trump-backed Foxconn deal, which was designed to create up to 13,000 jobs in Mount Pleasant, about 30 miles south of Milwaukee. A video was also played at the Democratic National Convention targeted Trump over Foxconn’s broken promises.

The ad also focuses on former President Donald Trump’s commentary from earlier this year calling Milwaukee a “horrible city” before the Republican National Convention, hosted at the Fiserv Forum.

Trump praised Milwaukee during the campaign at Discovery World earlier this month and plans to hold a rally at the Fiserv Forum at the end of this week.

In the final 10 days of the presidential race, Trump also expects to launch a Wisconsin sports figure: Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre will be a special guest speaker at Trump’s rally in Green Bay on Wednesday.

Rivers campaigned with second-in-command Doug Emhoff last weekwhere he shared a story about meeting Harris when she was California attorney general and he coached the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Harris campaign says the new ad will target sports fans on channels like Fox Sports, CBS Sports and Sling. A similar ad is running in Philadelphia.

The Trump campaign also announced a two minute announcement which will air during Sunday’s Philadelphia Eagles-Cincinnati Bengals game, with UFC CEO Dana White’s remarks at the RNC.
