A professional photographer dies with his back in the propeller of the plane

A professional photographer has died in a horror accident, spinning backwards into the propeller of a plane while taking pictures at a Kanas airfield.

Amanda Gallagher, 37, was taking photos of people getting on and off planes Saturday afternoon at the Air Capital Drop Zone in suburban Wichita when she accidentally returned to the active propeller, KAKE News reported.

The avid skydiver was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, but died from her injuries, the media said.

Gallagher owned a photography business, AG Photography, where he featured photos of his travels and images he took of the Air Capital Drop Zone in Derby, Wichita’s largest suburb.

She died “doing what she loved: skydiving and taking pictures,” according to a fundraiser, which had raised more than $6,000 as of Monday morning.

Her family remembered her in the fundraiser as “cute, adventurous, creative and beautiful inside and out.”

“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the young lady who died yesterday following a tragic plane propeller accident at Cook Airfield,” the statement said.

The author added: “I wasn’t there when it happened, so I won’t speculate on what could or should have happened differently. Please just keep her family, her friends and her Air Capital Drop Zone family in your prayers and thoughts.”

The incident remains under investigation.
