The man responsible for the role in the street takeovers to appear in court

CLEVELAND — The first man indicted for participating in those wild street takeovers we told you about will be arraigned Monday morning.

The South Euclid man faces more than a dozen charges for his involvement in several street pickups throughout September.

Jordan McDonald, 25, will be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. at the Justice Center.

The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office said McDonald is responsible for participating in seven different street takeovers in Cleveland in just two days.

The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office outlines McDonald’s nights of rampage, which began on September 28 at East 55th Street and Woodland Avenue.

It then continued to Lee Road and Miles Avenue to East 105th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive where investigators said fireworks were set off and gasoline was poured onto the highway.

The same behavior continued, with hundreds following the following night on September 29, covering several intersections in Cleveland.

“We look at all levels of prosecution, everything from major crimes, minor things to those who are just bystanders or the more passive role, but they were still an active participant in these takeovers,” said Chief Annie Todd, Police Cleveland. Department.

Cleveland police found the gray 2023 McDonald’s Dodge Charger from the burnout videos and the donuts from all seven incidents. Investigators later said McDonald threw away his license plate, had physical altercations with his car and deleted his social media accounts. He was arrested on October 15. McDonald faces 23 felony charges, including aggravated rioting, but police say more arrests are forthcoming.
