Former Education Principal Secretary Karega Mutahi has died

Known for his expertise and vast knowledge in the field education sector, Mutahi has played a significant role in improving management and teaching and learning.

Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital President Olive Mugenda noted that upon the completion of the hospital, Mutahi graciously agreed to chair the operationalization committee as a consultant.

His contributions were instrumental in shaping the report that served as the foundation for the hospital’s operations when Mugenda was appointed chairman of the Hospital Board.

Other leaders mourn former PS Mutahi Karega

Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetang’ula, has expressed sadness over the death of renowned educationist Karega Mutahi.

Wetang’ula disclosed that he collaborated with Mutahi during the same administration when he was foreign minister.

“The influence of a great man can never be erased. Prof. Mutahi whose journey to education faced a multitude of challenges will be remembered for the reforms he instituted as the government pushed for free primary education,” he stated.
