37-year-old woman faces 11 charges after stealing vehicle and leading police on chase

A Virginia woman who stole a car and evaded a traffic stop before crashing the vehicle has been charged with 11.

This woman made some of the worst decisions imaginable.

There are several reasons why drivers may be subject to a traffic stop. However, sometimes this happens for much more extreme reasons than many might assume. Such is the case with a recent story about a woman who commits a carjacking and then drives off police officers on a wild chase. Here’s what led her to receive eleven charges.

This woman committed a carjacking and then backed up to a police stop

Running away from a traffic getting pulled over after committing a carjacking has got to be the worst combination of ideas. Unfortunately, according WRICthat’s exactly what happened on October 24 in Virginia. Police say Francesca Quesada, 37, attacked an unnamed victim at her home that night and then took the car along with the keys. This happened around 20:15

Two hours passed and the police spotted the stolen vehicle with Francesca behind the wheel. Naturally they tried to do a traffic stop, but she fled the area. This prompted a police chase that spanned the highway and ended in Richmond, Virginia. Unfortunately, Francesca crashed the stolen vehicle before being apprehended by the police.

Of course, Francesca Quesada is facing more charges after stealing vehicle and evading a traffic stop. In all, she has 11. However, police officers also discovered that she was wanted in three separate Virginia cities on separate charges. Her charges for the most recent crime are below.

  • Grand theft of a motor vehicle
  • Hit and run
  • Reckless driving
  • Car theft
  • Failure to comply with law enforcement orders

At the time of the initial report, Francesca was being held pending a court appearance.
