Former president Lee Hagipantelis is at the center of legal action against the Tigers, with his law firm taking a case after a rising star had his contract terminated.

Conformable The Daily TelegraphHagipantelis’ firm Brydens Lawyers was hired by Jordan Miller, with the 19-year-old challenging the breach of his contract and eventual termination.

The move comes days before the Tigers’ law firm sponsorship ends, with ties severed at the end of October.

Tigers officials say Miller was late to practice twice, with a violation notice issued after the second time.

Miller claims the reason he was late on those occasions was due to personal matters that were mitigating before he got to the day’s training.

There are no allegations of wrongdoing by Miller, however the police are said to be involved in the matter.

Miller has played two games for the Tigers this season, with his current contract running until the end of the 2026 season.

Meanwhile, Hagipantelis was ousted as chairman at the end of 2023 and a review of the club saw him leave alongside Justin Pascoe.

He then informed the club that he would no longer be a sponsor outside of his current contract and would now undertake a legal battle against the Tigers.
