A report by PUNCH revealed that his Mummy Lagosas he is also known, could face further criminal charges over claims he served his jail term in a private apartment and bribed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges of money against him.

According to reports, a panel set up to investigate the claims has recommended that he face criminal and defamation charges.

Recall that a few weeks after Bobrisky was released from detention, controversial social critic VeryDarkMan shared a voice memo of an alleged conversation between Bobrisky and a person, in which the travesty allegedly said that he bribe EFCC officers with N15m to go down money money laundering charges against him.

Bobrisky also claimed to have bribed Nigerian Correctional Service officials to serve his six-month term in a private apartment.

Remember that the commission, while presenting its report, said there was no evidence that Bobrisky slept outside the Kirikiri Custody Center during his six-month sentence.

However, several reports claimed that Bobrisky tarnished the corrections service’s image with false claims.

According to the report, the commission also asked the Department of State Services to investigate whether he bribed him EFCC or correction service directly or through a proxy.

If Bobrisky’s bribery allegations are substantiated, the commission said the travesty should be charged with corrupt practices.

“The Nigerian Correctional Service should file defamation suits against Bobrisky under sections 373-375 of the Penal Code Act for his false claims about circumventing the prison system and damaging the institution’s reputation,” the report added.

The panel also charged four prison officers who were recommended for disciplinary action under the NCoS’s condition of service, public service and applicable laws.
