LEBANON, Maine (WMTW) – A man has died after a crash in Lebanon.

Officials said Daniel Dempsey, 39, of Lebanon, drove into oncoming traffic, hitting another car head-on in the area of ​​Long Swamp Road and Lord Road around 6 p.m. Friday.

Dempsey was pronounced dead at the scene.

Christina Gagnon of Berwick was a passenger in Dempsey’s vehicle.

Officials said Gagnon was taken to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

Police believe alcohol, speed and reckless driving appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
