The last two of the four prisoners who escaped from the Chesterfield County Detention Center on October 15 they were arrested. All four inmates are back in custody.

De’Shawn Fox and Kyonne McLeod were arrested by the Darlington Police Department on Oct. 25, according to a South Carolina Law Enforcement Division news release.

Fox and McLeod are the last two inmates to be apprehended after a 10-day manhunt since the initial escape. Local authorities Anton Conway Bennett in Halifax County, NC, 204 miles away on October 22nd.

Another of the escapees, Emanuel Plancohe was captured in Richland County on October 17, 75 miles from the detention center.

Law enforcement officers arrested Zaryal Dixon21, of Darlington on Oct. 16, who authorities believe helped the inmates escape.

It is still unclear how exactly the four inmates managed to escape.

The inmates escaped from the Chesterfield County Detention Center in the early morning hours of Oct. 15, according to Chesterfield County Sheriff Campbell Streater.

This is not the first time that inmates have escaped from the detention center. An inmate escaped through a door that was opened earlier this year, and in June 2023, an inmate accused of murder escaped through a barred window in the detention center. Both detainees were located and returned to the detention center.
