What did Junet say about being Interior CS?

In a statement obtained by TUKO.co.ke, Junet has stated that as much as he enjoys serving the country in leadership roles, he does not want to serve as Secretary of the Interior Cabinet.

He described the allegations as baseless, saying he was not among those seeking the job.

“While an opportunity to serve Kenyans in any capacity is always welcome, I wish to inform the public that I am not one of the people seeking this job,” Junet’s statement read in part.

He also clarified that the ODM party does not want any other member to join the Kenya Kwanza government in this role.

Junet, however, said he has assumed the role of leader of the minority party in the National Assembly, which is also significant in the country.
