LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro Police say one person is dead after a motorcycle collided with an SUV.

On Oct. 25, just after 3 p.m., police responded to the crash on El Capitan Way, south of Saddle Avenue.

According to police witness statements and surveillance video, a black Jeep Grand Cherokee was leaving a private car, driving north, when a white Yiben 150cc motorcycle.

Reports say the pilot was ejected after hitting the front left side of the Jeep.

Doctors determined that the rider died at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep was not suspected of being impaired and cooperated with police, according to LVMPD.

The death marks the 128th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas metro jurisdiction in 2024 so far.

The accident remains under investigation.
