The man and woman who died in the collision on the A47 in Hinckley have been named

Police have named a man and a woman who died in a crash on the A47 in Leicestershire.

Emergency services were called to the A47 Normandy Way in Hinckley on October 18 after a crash involving a red Ford Fiesta and a light gray Audi S4.

Molly Snow, 23, was driving a Ford Fiesta and Jordan Hurst, 31, was a passenger in the Audi S4 and both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A 25-year-old man – the driver of a black Audi S3 who was not involved in the collision – was previously arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been released under investigation, the force said.

The gray Audi S4 was believed to be in convoy with the black Audi S3 in the minutes leading up to the crash, according to police.

The driver of the light gray Audi, a 25-year-old man, was previously taken to Coventry and Walsgrave University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He remains in hospital receiving treatment, police added. .

Sgt Ed Des-Chanelle from the force’s serious collision investigation unit said: “At this time my condolences remain with Miss Snow and the families and loved ones of Mr Hurst.”
