“Home Improvement” star Zachery Ty Bryan arrested for DUI in Oklahoma

“Home Improvement” alum Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested again Friday — this time for DUI and driving without a license in Custer County, Ok.

Bryan — who played teenager Brad Taylor on the hit ABC sitcom — was approached by police around 6:47 a.m. Friday morning, TMZ reports. The former child star was sleeping in the backseat of his vehicle at the time.

The officers claimed they let Bryan go after having a brief conversation with him. However, they ended up shooting him shortly after he decided to leave.

During the traffic stop, Bryan told officers he drank “too much” the night before, saying he didn’t “know if he ever stopped” before getting into his car to sleep it off, according to dash cam footage. board obtained by the dashboard. snuff.

Police proceeded to make Bryan participate in some field sobriety tests before taking him into custody.

Bryan claimed his suspended license stemmed from one of his previous DUI arrests, admitting to the officer in the car that he had “several.”

In February, it was arrested for alleged DUI in California and was booked on felony charges of DUI with at least three prior offenses and felony contempt of court.

He was released later that day on $50,000 bond and had a court hearing scheduled for April 23.

The actor was also charged with two counts of menacing, two counts of fourth-degree assault, coercion, criminal strangulation, harassment and interfering with the filing of a report after he allegedly strangled his girlfriend in 2020.

“I was really cool. We were screaming and because we were in a townhouse that had (thin walls), everybody could hear,” he said.

“At the end of the day, (police) throw a bunch of charges at you because ultimately they want you to plead something,” Bryan continued. “I could have fought… but that’s more stress and drama.”
