The accident in Choctaw County claimed the life of a 77-year-old Silas woman

CHOCTAW COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) – A two-vehicle crash in Choctaw County involving a commercial vehicle has claimed the life of a 77-year-old woman, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Patricia K. Lewis of Silas in Choctaw County was fatally injured when the 2017 Toyota Camry in which she was a passenger struck a 2006 International tractor-trailer driven by Daniel L. Harvison, 46, of Chatom, ALEA said.

The driver of the Toyota, Dean S. Lewis, 80, also of Silas, was injured and taken to Washington County Hospital in Chatom for treatment, according to ALEA.

The wreck happened around 7:15 a.m. Thursday on Singley Road near Culomberg Road, about 2 miles south of Silas.

ALEA Highway Patrol Division police continue to investigate the accident.
