GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WCYB) — A man accused of killing his parents was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree murder, authorities said.

News 5’s Liam Bridgeman visited the Greene County Sheriff’s Department to learn more about the investigation.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department said deputies arrived at the home in the 500 block of Hartman Lane to find Cassandra Wilhoit, 68, and Ray “Allen” Wilhoit, 60, dead Friday .

Their son, Jessie Wilhoit, 35, was taken into custody without incident. His bail was set at $2 million

He is also scheduled to appear in a Greene County courtroom for his arraignment on Oct. 28.

News 5’s Liam Bridgeman spoke with neighbors who said everyone involved in the case, including the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, left around 3:20 p.m. Friday.

A neighbor told News 5 that fights were a regular occurrence at the home.
