King of the Hill Revival Shares First Look at Grown-Up Bobby (And He’s Got a Job Hank Might Hate)

king of the hill is now in is working on a new revival series with Huluand the first look at Bobby Hill’s future as an adult has been revealed. king of the hill will be coming to Hulu in the future with a brand new series set years after the events of the original series. While concrete details have been shared here and there from staff and cast members, the King of the Hill has yet to fully reveal what fans can hope to see from his big return. But it is certain that each of the characters has aged a few years.

With Bobby Hill voice actor Pamela Adlon (who returns for new king of the hill series) previously teased fans that Bobby was up to 21 (which means the new series takes place about eight years after the events of the original), the first look at Bobby, now an adult, has been revealed on social media by actress Gray DeLislewho could play a role in the new series. This first look at Bobby not only reveals his new design (which you can also find here), but that he became a chef in the future. A chef who cooks especially with charcoal, though, and that could be a problem for Hank.

What is Bobby’s future career?

After finding his love for cooking through the grill with Bill Dauterivesuccessful in Home Economics and a lover of meat in the final episode of the series, the first look at Bobby’s future reveals that he has become a professional chef, specializing in the creation of fusion cuisine. The first look includes a special bio that ties it all together with something like, “Chef Bobby Hill has loved food his whole life. From weeknights around the dinner table eating her mother’s “Spa-Peggy and Meatballs” to overindulging on lutefisk at church dinners to celebrating with family and friends at Luly’s Cafeteria, the food and people she enjoys they are the foundation of his best memories. ”

It turns out that while Bobby became a professional chef, he actually became a robata chef – which refers to robatayaki, a style of cooking where food is cooked primarily over charcoal with grill-like techniques. So while it’s clear that his love of barbecue and meat led him down this path to becoming a potential comedian, it’s also a cooking technique with an ingredient that Hank actively dislikes. Since Hank spent the first series defending the use of propane as a heating agent over coal (“Taste the meat, not the heat”), that might be what still separates Hank and Bobby, despite the fact that the two love barbecue and food so much.

Hank and Bobby may still not get along

Bobby becoming a chef could still mean he’s found a way to incorporate propane into his future cooking, but it’s likely that Bobby will do his own thing. One of the great things about the original series was that Hank and Bobby may not always see eye to eye, but there are elements of both of their lives that still bring them together. Bobby’s new way of doing things rattled the traditional and more socially conservative Hank, but Hank was usually willing to meet his son halfway.

king of the hill’S The series finale ended in a perfect way because the two finally found something they could both enjoy, so it’s even more special that Bobby was finally able to turn grilling into a future career. But his style of doing so will rattle Hank, as Bobby uses fusion and other off-side techniques, and the more conservative Hank will have to get used to it. This could end up being one of the main hooks for the new one king of the hill series will hopefully come to Hulu in 2025-2026.
