Amarillo ISD hosts the community education and lunch

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Amarillo ISD is hosting their inaugural Education and Community Luncheon on Thursday, October 31st.

The event will be held from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the AmTech Career Academy located at 3601 Plains Boulevard.

The event will provide an overview of AISD’s current state and vision for the future.

Key topics affecting local schools and the Amarillo community will be discussed. Dr. Ray Perryman will also discuss changing population trends in the region and the impact these changes are having on the local education system.

“We are excited to welcome the community to join this important conversation about the future of education in Amarillo. Dr. Perryman’s insights will help us better understand future challenges and opportunities as our district adapts to population changes and evolving needs,” said Doug Loomis, Superintendent, AISD.

The luncheon aims to create collaboration and engagement among community leaders, educators and stakeholders in shaping the future of education in Amarillo.

Lunch will be provided free of charge.
