Texas State students accused of stealing Halloween decorations

KYLE, Texas (KWTX) Ten Texas State University students were arrested Oct. 25 after being reported for stealing Halloween decorations, a police report said.

According to the police report, Kyle officers responded to Hometown Parkway at approximately 12:48 a.m. in reference to stolen property said to be valued at $500.

Officers reviewed security footage of the area showing the suspects driving off in a silver Ford F-150. According to the police report, officers quickly located the vehicle with the suspects and decorations inside.

According to the police report, all of the suspects, who were wearing masks at the time of their arrest, admitted to going to Kyle with the intention of stealing and possibly destroying the decorations, with a pair of scissors found in the vehicle.

All 10 suspects were charged with involvement in organized criminal activity, criminal acts and theft of property.

Officers also allegedly found THC, alcohol and a fake ID inside the vehicle.

The suspects involved are the following:

  • Jaevin Keyon Guidry, 19
  • Brayden Randall Golden, 20, who was also charged with possession of a false driver’s license/identity
  • Nico Jordan Lawrence, 20, who was also charged with possession of a controlled substance
  • Casey William Silvius, 20
  • Nathaniel Alexander Houck, 18
  • Noah Esteban Cazares, 18 years old
  • Landon Blaine Solis, 19
  • Aydien Leeray Jackson, 19
  • Enrique Amadeo Falindo, 18 years old
  • Marcus Jay Valdez, 18

“We will not tolerate actions that jeopardize the safety and holiday spirit of our community,” said Kyle Police Chief Jeff Barnett. “Kyle residents deserve to celebrate the holidays in a safe and joyful environment.”
