She was booked into the Bourbon County Detention Center and initially faced obstruction of government operations, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse charges. But Kentucky State Police said more are anticipated to be filed.

On October 14, an indictment was filed in Robertson County Circuit Court, rather than the district court where the original charges were filed. Fields now faces charges of murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, torturing a dog or cat and obstruction of government operations.

With Fields now facing one felony, three Class D felonies and one misdemeanor, the case was transferred to circuit court due to the nature of the charges.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Fields’ case was scheduled to go before a district judge Wednesday for a preliminary hearing. But instead, the original charges were dismissed without prejudice and upgraded to circuit court.

Because of the change, Fields will be arraigned at 1:00 PM on November 12.
